MRI-guided TMS reduces PTSD symptoms

A clinical trial tested low-frequency transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) targeted by MRI to calm the brain’s fear centre. Active TMS lowered amygdala reactivity and improved PTSD symptoms, with benefits lasting at least six months.
