Melis Buyruk entered 2025 with two exhibitions that drew international attention. One show, "Four Birds and One Soul," was shown in the United Arab Emirates. Another, "Because Some Things Are Still Beautiful," was presented alongside a solo section with Leila Heller Gallery at Contemporary Istanbul.

Buyruk works mainly in porcelain and studied ceramics at Selçuk University in Konya. She grew up making objects by hand and chose porcelain for its translucency and demanding skill. One exhibition uses a Rumi story about four birds; the birds stand for feelings: peacock for pride, crow for attachment, rooster for desire and goose for greed. She plans to deepen the new series and show it more widely.
