The phrase “The Eagle has landed” came from the 1969 moon landing and later became a film title. Recently the words moved into everyday life in Trinidad and Tobago when people used eagle pictures about banks.

The images were shared on X on 22 and 23 November 2023 by a user called Trevon and by Marie Hull. Some people even asked for stickers. The pictures became popular because many workers check bank accounts at month end and expect extra expenses around Christmas. The automated clearing house (ACH) moves money, but speed varies and pay can arrive the same day or the next day.
