During the summer holidays, from the end of July to the beginning of September, many parents in Cameroon enrol their children in coding, robotics and artificial intelligence programmes. One Demo Day in Yaounde featured a four-year-old who had finished a five-week AI boot camp for kids. The team showed an interactive game that helps users choose healthy meals; the idea came from the team leader’s pregnant mother. The Kitadis boot camp organised the 2024 edition and continued into 2025.

The Kitadis Centre fills early with children aged four to thirteen. The camp is run by the founder of Star Light Inc. Registration costs FCFA 10,000 and tuition costs FCFA 20,000. The programmes end with a Demo Day and organisers often set up tech clubs in students’ schools afterward.
