Every academic year the university campus and the city fill with warnings about scams. Posters, emails, notices and ads tell students to watch for fake calls and messages. One employee was tricked by a deepfake video call and sent money. Officials say AI is here and society is not fully prepared.

Authorities now use technical systems such as scameter+ to detect or stop scams. AI also appears in enquiry systems, translation tools, payment gateways and other city services. People need ways to understand decisions and to question errors. At the Digital Narratives Studio small meetings bring people together to share experiences, test judgement and build language and practices to make AI more accountable.
