On July 14, 2025 the West Indies team were bowled out for 27 in the final Test against Australia. That total was one of the lowest in Test history. West Indies lost all three Tests in the series. The result caused strong anger and calls for change across the Caribbean.
Former players and officials spoke out. Many pointed to Daren Sammy, who is both head coach and the only selector. Others asked for resignations from the board and leadership. Cricket West Indies said it would take action and invited former greats to advise. On the field, Australian bowlers dominated and one bowler took a hat‑trick.
