A 2018 study by the National Human Rights Commission found most transgender people were denied formal jobs and moved into low-paid, unsafe work. Health specialists warn that interrupted treatment can cause drug resistance and serious mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, trauma and suicidal thoughts. National guidance and targeted programmes exist, but activists say removing practical barriers and upholding dignity are essential so transgender people do not have to choose between survival, identity and treatment.
