Talia Levitt showed a group of paintings called "24/7." The show began when her caregiving and studio work mixed. She says she was "painting in bed with my daughter." The paintings reflect urgency, tiredness, joy and tenderness in daily life.
Levitt places pacifiers, baby clothes and jewelry boxes next to fruit, flowers and candles. She uses tricks like trompe-l'oeil and patterns that look like fabric. Her process includes scoring a grid, piping paint from sandwich bags, and adding sequins and cast pieces. The exhibition will travel to the K11 Art Foundation in Shanghai.
