Experimental drug protects hearts in Duchenne muscular dystrophy

A new study found that the experimental drug Setanaxib preserved heart function and reduced scarring in preclinical models of Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and identified the enzyme NOX4 as a possible treatment target.
