The 2025 UN climate talks (COP30) ended in Brazil. WISE, a Nigerian women’s hub founded by Olanike Olugboji-Daramola, was not at COP30 but continues grassroots work, rallies and events on floods, farming and policy.

Filipino farmers push agroecology before COP30

Farmers and groups led by MASIPAG held fairs, workshops and petitions before COP30. They opposed a planned GMO ordinance, promoted agroecology and raised land reform, women’s rights and climate issues in Negros and beyond.
