Football is more than a sport. It connects people to their memories and culture. For many fans, it is a way to show emotions like happiness and anger. In Portugal, under Antonio Salazar, football was very important for the government.
Some writers, like Javier Marías, talk about football in their books. He believes that football can help us remember our childhood.
