A new study shows that some children like to play alone during school breaks. Researchers asked many students about their friends and how they like to play. They found that these children can be very happy.
The children like being by themselves, but they still want to feel part of the group. They accept some invitations from other kids. Because their friends keep asking them to play, these children do not feel lonely.
However, children who do not care about fitting in often feel unhappy. They always say no to games. Soon, other children stop asking them. These students feel left out and sad.
