Verse: filmmaking for women's rights in Myanmar

After the 2021 coup, Exile Hub grew to support journalists and rights defenders. Filmmaker Verse left reporting after gender bias and now makes films about women’s lives, winning grants and screening work at festivals.

Exile, mental health and the Saite channel

After the February 2021 coup many people left Myanmar. In exile, Lucas started Saite on YouTube in October 2022 to raise mental health awareness and build resilience, while Exile Hub offers MHPSS services.

Moon: Teacher, Storyteller and Exile

Moon is a teacher from Karen State who kept teaching after the 2021 coup. She fled for safety, worked in migrant schools, trained with Exile Hub in Mae Sot, and now uses storytelling and media to teach.
