Global Voices community members created a playlist to support Nate Matias. He cycled the equivalent of 10,000 meters in elevation over three days to raise money for Global Voices, and the playlist was meant to keep him motivated.

Contributors explained their song choices. Elisa Marvena recommended "Jerusalem" by Fairouz and Ziad Rahbani and said Fairouz has wide influence across Southwest Asia and North Africa. Lara AlMalakeh suggested "Zamilou" by Bu Kolthoum and described it as empowering for women.

Others added an instrumental track by Gaélica and Caribbean songs from Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago to energize Nate. Community members in Nepal also put together Nepali-language songs to honour the ride's roots.
